What are your office hours?

We’re open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We’re closed on Sundays.

How do I schedule a wellness exam for my pet?

You can schedule a wellness exam by calling us at (618) 234-4584, using our Lashley Animal Hospital mobile app, or by visiting our website at www.lashleyanimalhospital.com/

Do you offer emergency care during business hours?

Yes—while we are not a 24-hour emergency facility, we do offer urgent care during our regular office hours. For after-hours emergencies, we refer clients to trusted local emergency veterinary clinics.

What vaccines do you recommend for dogs and cats?

For dogs, we recommend lepto, rabies, DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus), Bordetella and influenza. For cats, we recommend rabies and FVRCP unless its a indoor/outdoor cat then we allso recommend lukemia.

Do you include a free wellness exam with vaccinations?

Yes, they are a key part of every vaccination visit. These exams help us catch any underlying health issues and keep your pet on a healthy path. Plus, we offer free 1st time puppy and kitten exams

Do you provide parasite prevention and heartworm testing?

Yes—parasite prevention and annual heartworm testing are essential parts of our preventive care. We offer effective flea, tick, and heartworm control tailored to your pet’s needs.

What diagnostic services do you offer?

We offer in-house diagnostics including bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams, digital radiology, and ultrasound to help identify and treat health issues quickly and accurately.

Do you have ultrasound and X-ray imaging?

Yes—we offer both digital radiographs and ultrasound imaging to assess teeth internal organs, detect injuries, and guide treatment plans.

Is dental x-ray included with cleanings?

Yes—dental X-rays are included as part of our comprehensive dental care, allowing us to detect underlying issues not visible during a standard oral exam.

What types of surgeries and anesthesia services do you provide?

We perform a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to, spays, neuters, mass removals, and soft tissue surgeries. We recommend preanesthetic blood work for all four surgical patients and it is mandatory for all senior pets. All surgical patients receive continuous monitoring to ensure safety.

Do you offer laser therapy for pets?

Yes—we use Class IV laser therapy to reduce pain and inflammation, improve healing, and help pets recover from injuries or surgery.

Do you offer microchipping?

Absolutely. We highly recommend microchipping for all pets as a permanent form of identification. We also offer ID tags to complement this service and in house registration.

How often should pets get dental cleanings?

We recommend annual dental exams and cleanings to prevent dental disease and related health issues. Frequency may vary based on your pet’s breed and health history.

Do you perform extractions and cleanings?

Yes—we provide full dental cleanings, scaling, polishing, and extractions if necessary, all under safe anesthesia and monitoring.

What’s included in your new pet exam package?

Our new pet visits include a full physical exam, vaccine planning, parasite screening and prevention, nutritional counseling, and microchipping options.

Do you offer prenatal care for pregnant pets?

Yes—we provide prenatal care including ultrasound imaging, x-rays, nutritional support, and monitoring throughout pregnancy.

Do you have an in-house pharmacy?

Yes—we stock a wide range of medications, supplements, and preventives for your convenience and your pet’s immediate care needs.

Can I get custom or compounded prescriptions?

We work with a local compounding pharmacy for pets that require customized medications or special formulations.

Do you offer referral discounts?

Yes—we appreciate client referrals and offer loyalty rewards and referral perks as a thank you for spreading the word about our hospital.

Do you offer military discounts or loyalty programs?

We are proud to support local military families and offer exclusive discounts for Scott Air Force Base service members. Our loyalty program also provides valuable savings for long-time clients.

Do you have a mobile app?

Yes—our Lashley Animal Hospital app lets you schedule appointments, request rx refills, access medical records, set reminders, and manage your pet’s health from your phone.

Do you accept pet insurance or offer payment plans?

We accept most pet insurance plans and provide the paperwork needed for reimbursement. At this time, we do not offer in-house payment plans.
